- I just installed SecureW2, but my laptop is still not connecting.
Did you try to reboot? If that did not help, it is most likely that Windows did not create the wireless networks as it
should have done. Try to do this yourself by opening the Network Center
clicking on Manage wireless networks
and then deleting all
Once removed, add the networks: hit Add, choose
Manually create a network profile, type the correct
network name (VU-Campusnet or
eduroam, case senstive!), choose
WPA2-Enterprise as Security type, use
AES as Encryption Type and hit
Next. In the next window, click Change
connection settings and go to the tab Security. If SecureW2 was installed
properly, you should be able to select SecureW2: SecureW2 EAP-TTLS from the list
below Choose a network authentication method:. Once selected, click
Settings to open the SecureW2 settings. In here, a
Profile called VU-Wireless should be in
the profile list. Select this profile and keep on hitting OK until you're back
in the Network Center again.

Yes! Make use of the Proxy Auto Configuration (pac) provided by the VU!
In Firefox, open up the Firefox Preferences, browse to the
Advanced tab and the subtab called Network.
Hit the Settings... button and choose Automatic
proxy configuration URL:. In here, paste the http://www.ubvu.vu.nl/ubvu.pac url.
In Internet Explorer, choose Tools, Internet
Options, Connections, LAN Settings
and check the box Use Automatic Configuration Script. Enter the same addres:
When using Safari on a Mac, pull down the Safari menu and select Preferences, open
the Advanced tab and click on Change Settings
in the Proxies field. A new window should pop up. Choose here for
Automatic Proxy Configuration and enter the url:
